U17 World cup: Nigeria gives Brasil ultimate knockout blow

Such has been the fine form of Nigerias U17 team to the on going U17 world cup currently taking place in Chile, that they have lost only one(1) match against Croatia.

The Flying Eaglets, are the tournaments leading goal scorers, with a goal total of 17 goals, and they also boost the presence of the tournaments leading goal scorer, Victor Osimhen, who currently has 8 goals to his name.

After gazumping Australia 6-0 the next challenge, was a Brazil side who in their own regards, have also been a revelation in the tournament.

Many pundits, and sports analyst, who never predict the African side to defeat their South American counterpart. But their predictions and suggestions were never going to hamper this Nigeria side who have been so prolific in front of goal in the tournament so far.

As the match kicked off, it look like the Nigerians, were never going to excape defeat, as Brazil had time picking out lapses upon lapses.

Brazil, came very close to opening the scoring in the early stages of the encounter, but the Nigerians who were kept in the game by the brilliance of goalkeeper Udoh, soon found their Ruthless Rhythm, and began to trouble the Brazilians with counters which were engineered by the amazing Osimehen.

The ever present Osimehen, who all night, have been giving the Brazil back line series of problems, opened the scoring for the Africa side, when he jumped highest to nod home a delicious cross from right wing back Lazarus. Few seconds later, Michael Dogo Kingsley, added a second, before left wing back, Udochukwu Anumudu, scored the third and last goa of the encounter, which ensured that a second half comeback from the Brazilians, was not attainable.

Nigeria, will face either Ecuador or Mexico in the Semi Finals on Thursday.
