Fame : I Hawked Gala From Mile Two Through Maza Maza And Alikija - K Peace.

Current winner of the Nigerian Idol, Olakunle Ogunrombi, who is popularly known as K-Peace, gave a Little light about his grass to grace story.

The Ogun state indigene who resides at Lagos State, won a cash price of #7.5m, a trip to the exciting city of Dubai, with all espenses paid, a #7.5m naira recording deal, a brand new Hyundai Sports Car, and other devices, emerged as the winner of the Nigerian Idol season Five after he impressively dominated the competition .

In an Interview, he gave little inside into challenges he had faced in life, how he hawked Gala, Pure - water, chin chin on trafics from mile 2, Maza-Maza, and Alakija. All in a way to survive after the demise of his father.
Speaking to 9jadeck exclusively, K-Peace said: "I came from a family of five children who were well catered for by our parents. My late father was an Engineer at Leventis Motors. But unfortunately, he lost his job. Thou he tried to fend for the family by selling Motor Parts, he later died due to Cardiac arrest. His dead was the beginning of a very difficult period in the life of every one of us, especially my mom who assumed the duty of providing for all of us."
"During this period, I began selling Chin-chin, from Mile 2 to Maza Maza, to Alakija. Iater started selling Pure water, and Soft drinks around a chopping center, in the neighborhood of Festac town."
Prior to hawking Chin-chin along the road side during traffic, the Ogun state indigene, was into supplying of Chin-chin to some road side marketers. But later decided to go into hawking of the item fully as that would fetch him more money.
Prior to all this, K-peace was working in a factory that paid him #120.00 per day with an option of overtime which will come at #30.00. Making a sum total of #150.00 per day. With a work time of 7am-5PM daily. He worked at the factory for one year and decided to go into hawking as that will pay him more.
But today, the reverse is the case, as K-peace, will now be counted amongst the millionaires in the country. After he received both monetary and non-monetary gifts and prices. All thanks to NIGERIAN IDOL.
