With rumours of a potential departure due to his condition at Madrid since signing, Eden Hazard is not thinking of leaving Madrid in the winter transfer window. The Belgium international has yet to rediscover his form at Los Blancos, but he is aware that to achieve his goal of playing he should be patient and earn his spot through hard work.

Even though he has not being given much playing time this season, Hazard is still in good relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Vinicius is currently considered as an undisputed starter on the left-hand side in a 4-3-3 formation, but, during several games this season, Ancelotti tried to make a space for Hazard by changing the formation and playing a 4-4-2 system, in which the Belgian moved to his ideal position behind the forwards. However, this formula was unsuccessful and now the former Chelsea player is struggling to earn playing time.

Hazard wants to pay back Real Madrid's confidence.

As the club's most expensive player ever, Hazard is currently unhappy with his situation at the club, as he has failed to shine due to his frequent injuries and lack of consistency.

Hazard is aware that he hasn't given much to the club that spent a huge amount of money to bring him to Spain, but he is keen to rediscover his form and pay back the club's confidence in him.

Having scored just five goals across 53 games in all competitions for Real Madrid, Hazard is hoping to start against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday. With Rodrygo out through injury and Marco Asensio struggling to deliver this season, the Belgian forward could be given the opportunity to feature on the right-hand side.

What's Real Madrid's stance on Hazard?

Real Madrid are much aware that, even if they tried to sell Hazard, they wouldn't be able to recover most the money they spent to sign him back in 2019.

They want to avoid weakening their squad mid-season, so both Madrid and the player believe he should see out the season at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and then negotiate a potential departure in summer, as the former Chelsea player maker is in need of playing time ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid wants to bring in Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer from Paris Saint-German next summer and, with Vinicius and Karim Benzema as undisputed starters, it seems as though there will be no place in the starting line-up for Hazard next season.
