As the offensive against cattle rustlers and other armed gang in the state are being increased by security operatives, the committee on the distribution of recaptured animals from cattle rustlers in kaduna, has given back 286 livestocks recovered from rustlers to their various owners at the distribution centre in Birnin Gwari.

According to the Media aide to the governor, Malam Samuel Aruwan, effores to rid the state of armed groups terrorising cattle owners in various communities, are been intensified by armed security operatives in the state. Aruwan, also provided update on the ongoing military operation against cattle rustlers operating in Kamuku and Kuyanbana forests which cut across Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger and Zamfara states.

The aide, also disclosed that at least 46 sheep have been returned to their owners, after the committee varified their claims of ownership to be true.

He further stressed that, “security operations continue in the forest areas, as the Operation Yaki Surveillance Patrol team attached to the Sabon-Gari Divisional Police Headquarters, Kaduna on 19th September, 2015 at about 3:00am received a distress call that armed robbers were operating at a house on Gwandu Road in Kaduna metropolis.
