After an unimpressive performance against Tanzania, in the on going 2017 Afcon qualifier, slated for Gabon, on Saturday. Super Eagles midfielder, Haruna Lukman, has blamed the weather in Tanzania for his poor performance.

The midfielder who last featured for the Super Eagles at the 2010 World cup in South Africa, was replaced by Sylvester Igboun before the half time whistle was blown.

The midfielder who pleaded for another chance, said, “It was not me against Tanzania because the weather really affected me,”  AfricanFootball.com quoted Russian-based Haruna as saying on
Monday.

“I hope I will be given another chance to show what I can really do.”

Haruna, currently ply his trade in the Russian League with Anzhi Makhachkala
