Oliseh praise Carl Ikeme after heriocs against Tanzania

New Super Eagles handler, Sunday oliseh, praised the impressive performance of Wolverhampton goalkeeper, and debutant Carl Ikeme for saving him the shame of starting his new job as the Head Coach of the Nigeria national team on a bad note. After Nigeria, were held to a goal less draw by Tanzania, on Saturday.

Oliseh who said he normally does not like singling our players for praises, said he had been forced by the showings of Carl Ikeme, to change his mind on that.

“I don’t like to single out any player for praise but Ikeme was simply fantastic today. I would probably have been telling a different story if not for him,”. He remarked after the match.

Oliseh who pointed out that his attack, was totally out of the game, gave praise also to the Tanzanians for their determination.

He said; “It’s good to see the players in a competitive game like this and I want to admit that we were not prolific. I’m not happy with the attack, we have to be realistic. We should have conceded a goal with the way we played, especially in the
first half. We will look towards new attackers in the next game,”

The Super Eagles, has 4 points to their name, in the on going 2017 Afcon qualifier.
