Hector Bellerin Hints That He Won't Return To Arsenal After His Real Betis Loan

Hector Bellerin has hinted he has no intention of returning back to Arsenal when his season-loan at Real Betis ends.

The on-loan Arsenal right-back was a fan of Betis as a boy and accepted a move there on deadline day at the end of August as the Gunners signed Takehiro Tomiyasu to play his position.

Bellerin, 26, had been phased out of the Arsenal side during last season, with manager Mikel Arteta preferring Calum Chambers on the right side of defence.

And after playing no part in Arsenal's opening four games this season, he accepted the move to Spain having consulted with an analytics company to check Betis would suit him.

Bellerin has since played in four LaLiga matches for his new club and has apparently already decided he might remain there beyond this season when his loan deal expires.

Asked about his future plans in an interview During and interview with El Desmarque, he said: 'I don't know but I've always said it: "If I didn't want to be here next year, I wouldn't have come from the beginning."

"There  are many things to be decided but what I want to do is enjoy the year that I am here. And what has to happen will happen."

Bellerin has just a year remaining on his Arsenal contract after this one and so the Gunners would be pushed to sell next summer to make any money from him.

It has been reported that Bellerin took a sizeable pay cut to join Betis, the club his father also supported and he seemed to confirm that himself.

"It is clear that money is something important, because it is our job,"

"But I think that in football, that love of sport, of the club, is being lost. And for me, after having understood and had that feeling since childhood, there are things you put ahead [of money]." The 26-year-old said

"This  year-and-a-half that has just passed has made us rethink many things"

"For  me and for everyone it was an effort to carry out the operation not only from the point of view of money and how much it cost us to get here."

"In  the end, those efforts pay off and I had other priorities when making my decision."
