Inter Milan Wants To Sell Christian Eriksen As He's Not Allowed To Play In Serie A

Christian Eriksen is not allowed to play for Inter Milan this season as 'the current conditions of the player don't meet the requirements.'

On Jun 12, the 29 year old suffered a cardiac arrest in a match between Denmark and Finland at Euro 2020.

The midfielder required urgent medical assistance before being taken to hospital, where he was fitted with an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator).

Inter had said that Eriksen was in excellent physical and mental shape as he stepped up his recovery after surgery.

But it appears they have now changed their mind as he will not be allowed to play in Italy as medical requires until further notice.

Inter said in a written statement: "With reference to the registration rights of the player Eriksen, it should be noted that following a serious injury which occurred during the European Championship in June 2021, the player has been temporarily  inhibited by the Italian medical authority from sporting activity in the current season."

However, the good news is that Eriksen could be allowed to play elsewhere, so he push for a move in January to continue his playing career in another country.

"Although the current conditions of the player don't meet the requirements of achieving sporting fitness in Italy, the same could instead be achieved in other countries where the player could resume competitive activity."

Having joined Spurs in 2013, Eriksen contributed 159 goals (69 goals and 90 assists) in over 300 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, before leaving the premier league for Seria A.

Since then, he has also contributed 11 goals (8goals and 3 assists) in 60 games for the club, winning the Serie A in that process.
