Business Mogul Obi Cubana voted “MAN OF THE YEAR” by Nigerians all over the world

Popular Nigerian philanthropist cum businessman Mr. Obinna Iyiegbu who is known popularly as Obi Cubana has been voted as the MAN OF THE YEAR by Nigerians both home and in the diaspora.

Mr. Obinna who is the chairman/leader of the Cubana businesses across Nigeria, was on the news earlier this year as he hosted an array of business associates at his hometown in, Oba, Anambra State, who came to pay condolences to the business tycoon for the loss of his Mother.

Mr. Obi Cubana who hails from Oba in Idemili South Local Government Council of Anambra State, during a 14-day Leadership Excellence Awards voting by Nigerians via online platforms that were closely monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria, was voted ahead of three other nominees.

He defeated Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; The Chairman UBA Group Tony Elumelu; and the Chairman/founder of BUA Group Abdul Rabiu, to clinch the award for the “MAN OF THE YEAR”.

Mr. Obi Cubana emerged winner with 2,667,845 votes, just as the other nominees secured the following votes: Makinde 1,015,224 votes, Elumelu, 848,652 votes, and Rabiu 819,562 votes.

Mr. Obi Cubana is a well-known philanthropist who has been credited with helping youths from his community in setting up their own business ventures. He was said to have aided the growth of over 300 indigent youths of his village in Oba, by given them One million Naira each (1,000,000) to set up their own businesses, while he monitors their development closely, till they all, are well to do.

The prestigious award, organised by IgbereTV, is endorsed by the African Union and the African Film Institute.
