In an interview, the Executive secretary of Major Oil Marketers of Nigeria (MOMAN) Mr Babafemi Olawore, said "We have reached an agreement with the federal Government to commence lifting of Petroleum products from all available Depots, within the next 6 hours."
In a related development, Mr Kassim Bataiya, of the National Association Of Road Transport Owners , has thrown his Organizations support to that of their counterpart MOMAN
Meanwhile, it has been so impossible for customers and organizations, to purchase petroleum products and Diesel. Due to the ongoing strike.
This has prompted most companies and private organization, to shut down activities due to lack of electricity or availability of Crude products to power their institutions.
On Monday, 25 May 2015, some banks had to send SMS and email alerts to their customers, alerting them of Early closure of banking activities. Due to lack of adequate diesels and petroleum products to power their plants.
In an SMS from FCMB to their various customers, they clearly stated "Dear Customer, our branches will close at 1pm from Mon May 25, due to the shortage of petroleum products. All our alternate channels will remain available."
Meanwhile GTB in an email alert titled Notice of early closure of branches, stated "Dear Customer,

The current shortage of petroleum products in the country has limited our ability to supply diesel to all our branches, in order to continue normal branch operations.
Due to this, we unavoidably have to close our branches nationwide at 1pm, from tomorrow Monday, 25th May 2015.
Whilst we have had to take this step to close branch operations early, we would like to seek your understanding at this time, and assure you that we will continue to work hard at finding alternative solutions to this situation and will advise you once the situation has abated.
