We reported yesterday that some major banks and other business institutions, where at the risk of shutting down activities due to unavailable petroleum products in the country
Well its like the federal government and some agencies involved, saw the mass sufferings, and decided to put a halt to it.
As earlier this morning, some of the major banks in Nigeria, sent messages via SMS and Emails to their customers, informing them of the effect of the agreement reached by the Federal Government and members of NUPENG and PENGASSAN.
In a message from GTB to numerous customers, they stated that normal Banking time have resumed, unlike yesterday, where they announced the early closure of banks.
In an Email message captioned "We Have Resumed Normal Banking Hours; 8am – 5pm"
GTB stated "Dear customer, We are pleased to inform you that from tomorrow, Tuesday, 26th of May 2015, all our branches nationwide will resume normal banking hours of 8am – 5pm for all your banking services, as the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) have announced the suspension of the petroleum product strike.
Thank you for bearing with us during the 1 day early closure period, and we sincerely apologise for every inconvenience this might have caused you.
Thank you for banking with us."
