President Buhari orders the clam down of pirates

Piracy has been a very messy tide in the Nigerian industry for the past couple of years.

When musicians, actors/actresses, film directors and other entertainers, put so much efforts to bring up a piece, so faction of Nigerians will try to make use of the opportunity in a very bad manner by trying to reap from where they didn't sow.

Well that is set to be over. As the president of Nigerian his Excellency Mohammadu Buhari, has ordered security to chop down all pirates in the entertainment industry.

He made this known through the special advicer on media and publicity to the president, Mr Demi Adesina. After he received a briefing from the permanent secretary of the ministry of information, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan and her directors on July 14 2015 in Abuja.

Mr Femi Adesina in a statement released to newsmen, said;  "Nollywood is making progress. We should work with them. Unless they are backed, they will be ruined by pirates who want
to reap where they have not sowed.

“They have built an industry with their own sweat. It is therefore incumbent on us to give them the
necessary support .”
