Two peope killed by a vehicle in onitsha, while seven others injured

A driver lost control of his vehicle at Upper Iweka on Wednesday night, and killed two people while injuring seven others, in Onitsha.

An eyewitness reported that the driver lost control of his vehicle, as a result of a failed brake.

Mr. Isa Abubakar, who is the divisional police officer, in charge of central police station Onitsha, confirmed the incident. He added that the injured people, had been taken to a hospital, while the dead, was taken to the Mortuary.

He also stressed that the casualties would have been high if not for the pavements at the Asaba Park, which had stopped the vehicle from ramming on to commuters who were waiting to board the vehicles to their destinations.
