Arsenal's midfielder Granit Xhaka have been ruled out for three months with a knee injury.

The 29years old was replaced by Albert Sambi Lokonga in the 82nd minute of their Sunday's North London Derby after a collision with Tottenham's Lucas Moura.

The Switzerland's international had just returned from a 3 games ban after receiving a red card against Manchester City in the game week 3.

After the game, Xhaka was seen with ice wrapped around his right leg as Arsenal players and staffs celebrated their win against their fellow North London club. It was also understood that he left the stadium in brace.

During the post match interview, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said:  “Unfortunately he got an injury and I’m pretty worried because it doesn’t look very positive at the moment.”

After seeing a specialist on Monday, it was later confirmed that he'll be out of action for a period of 3 months. But he won't be needing any surgery on the knee.
