Man cuts off his own manhood

A man in Kebbi state, has chopped off his own Manhood for reasons unknown.

The man whose names are Usmanu Umaru, is 67 years old, and lives at Kofar Dindi neighborhood in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.

According to the Leadership newspaper, the nephew of the victim, said that no one could ascertain the reason why the man took such decision.

“My uncle was sick and lying in his room. We just heard his wife screaming and when we rushed in, we met him holding a long knife and in a pool of his own blood.

“We then rushed him to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) to save his life because he lost a lot of blood,” the nephew said.

“Actually, we did not know why and for what reason he cut his private part and now we need a huge sum for the operation.” The nephew concluded.

Umaru, has reportedly been admitted into the Male Surgical Ward 3, FMC, Birnin Kebbi.

Speaking to the leadership, the doctor, confirmed that Umaru, was receiving treatment, but was still in a state of Coma.

Neighbours of the 67 years old, had mixed feelings as to why Umaru took such dreaded step.

Some of his neighbours, said he was mentally Ill. While others said Umaru who as a result of his poor state, has always talked about ending it all to free himself from the poverty he found himself, might have took the step, just to end it all.
