Recall Martins and Ogbeche - Chukwu to Oliseh

Former super eagles handler Chukwu, has urged current manager of the Nigeria Super Eagles Sunday Oliseh, to recall Obafemi Martins of Seattle Sounders and Fc Cambuur striker Batholomew Ogbeche back to the national team.
The pair, has been in fine form for their respective club sides, scoring and assisting goals on a regular basis.
Martins, who due to lack of being called up under Stephen Keshi announced his retirement from the national team, can still be called out of retirement by Oliseh if both parties agreed.
Meanwhile Ogbeche, has not featured for the Super Eagles after a poor putting in the 2002 world cups.
Chukwu, who said Oliseh should be generous with his selection, believes that the fine form of the duo, is more than enough to guaranty team them a selection into the fold again
“Everything depends on the head coach though I believe that the Super Eagles is for every Nigerian provided they are in a very good shape,” Chukwu told Goal.
“Ogbeche and Martins are in the right form and I feel they should be invited to the national team. Both players are tested and boast of experience that can improve the lot of Nigeria during international matches.
“Also, they have the ability to convert chances that come their way, which is lacking now in the Super Eagles. I am not saying that they will last for the entire duration of the game, but one fact is sure, they will make a lasting impact and the younger ones will learn from them.”
Chukwu shunned the unproven belief that players who are over 30 years, have passed their prime and should not be considered for national team invitation.
“What is more important here is the shape of the player and current form,” he continued.
