The Abuja apartment of the the just past minister of petroleum resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, was today stormed by operatives of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, in what is tagged a multinational investigation of the former minister.

The development, comes hours after reports suggested that Diezani Alison-Madueke who is a former minister of petroleum under the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan, was arrested in London today by the newly formed International Corruption Unit (ICU) of the country’s National Crimes Agency.

According to an announcement on the website of the agency, five persons, were arrested across London today as part of an investigation into suspected bribery and money laundering offences but didn't mention names of the suspects.

The operations it was gathered were being coordinated with several international agencies because of the “sensitive” nature of the investigation.

Meanwhile, according to sources, the EFCC, recovered valuable documents from the apartment of the former minister, which can aid the investigation process.

“The raid on her Asokoro residence today(Friday) yielded vital information that will help in the prosecution of the case,” the source said.
